Day1

Individual arrival in Lecce, the elegant heart of Salento.
We are welcomed by an extraordinary Baroque architecture, carved from the local white limestone that gives Lecce its unmistakable glow.

Let's enjoy our first dinner together and overnight stay in Lecce, soaking in the atmosphere of Southern Italy.

Day2

Otranto Coastline Walk

9km, +100m -100m

After breakfast, we take a private transfer to Otranto, the easternmost city of Italy and a historic crossroads between East and West.
We begin our coastal hike along one of the most scenic stretches of the Adriatic Sea, walking through unspoiled landscapes and dramatic cliffs. Along the way, we discover the famous abandoned bauxite quarry, also known as the Blue Lake, a stunning contrast of red earth and turquoise water—perfect for unforgettable photos.
A light lunch at a bar on the coast is included before exploring Otranto’s charming historic center.
In the late afternoon, we return to Lecce by private transfer for dinner and overnight.

Day3

Rock Churches Natural Park, Matera

11km, +320 m / -320 m

After breakfast, a private transfer takes us to the surroundings of Matera.
We hike through the spectacular ravine towards Murgia Timone, within the Rock Churches Natural Park of Matera. This panoramic trail offers breathtaking views and ancient churches carved directly into the rock.
As we approach Matera, we enjoy extraordinary views over the Sassi, the iconic cave dwellings that make this city a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We spend the night in a charming hotel nestled in the Sassi district: a truly unforgettable experience.

Day4

Matera: Culture, Bread & History

In the morning, we visit a traditional bread workshop to learn about Matera’s famous bread, a powerful symbol of local culture and resilience. We enjoy a tasting of freshly baked products.
In the afternoon, we take part in a private guided walking tour to discover Matera’s fascinating history, from poverty and abandonment to its rebirth as one of Italy’s most extraordinary cultural destinations.
Second overnight stay in Matera.

Day5

Itria Valley: Locorotondo to Alberobello

13km, +110m -140m

After breakfast, we transfer privately to the Itria Valley, an area renowned for its rural landscapes, craftsmanship, and unique architecture.
We walk along the Greenway of the Puglia Aqueduct, following the route of the longest aqueduct in Europe, surrounded by countryside and dry-stone walls, until we reach Locorotondo. Its historic center is characterized by concentric streets and traditional white houses known as cummerse.
From Locorotondo, we take a short train ride to Alberobello.
Overnight stay in a traditional Trullo house, feeling as if we have stepped onto a movie set.

Day6

Alberobello Forest Walk & Ostuni

6km, +100m -100m

In the morning, we enjoy a circular walk through Bosco Selva, the green heart of the area and a rare remnant of the ancient oak forest that once covered much of Puglia.
We end the walk at a local dairy for a guided visit and mozzarella tasting.
In the afternoon, a private transfer takes us to Ostuni, the famous White City, with free time to explore its hilltop historic center.

Day7

Dune Costiere Natural Park to Ostuni

12km, +230m -110m

After breakfast, we transfer into the Dune Costiere Natural Park, where today’s walk begins.
We hike through fertile fields, ancient olive groves, and rural landscapes shaped by centuries of agriculture. Each season here offers an incredible variety of crops and colors. After a light tasting lunch at a small family-run farm, we continue uphill through woodland, slowly climbing toward Ostuni and its dazzling white old town overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Farewell dinner and overnight stay in Ostuni.
